Exploring themes of loneliness, death, and disconnection, I Don't Want to Talk About It highlights teenager Kyle, an outsider among his peers, and his struggle to fit in.
For my design, I chose a purple color scheme with an ombre pattern to mimic concepts of loss, isolation, and the slow descent into a dark place in life.
The use of notebook paper showcases how the play is set in a school environment. Similarly, "cut-outs" of Kyle's peers and their harmful words represent their mockery of him and his chaotic mind in an attempt to process this.
