About & Experience
Isabella has been influenced by music ever since she was a little girl and could sing before she was 2 years old. However, she only started taking singing lessons a few years later. Since then, she's been in musicals such as "Peter Pan," "Annie," "Shrek," "Jekyll & Hyde," and "The Addams Family" and has grown to love performing on stage.
She's actively participated in Chorus and Show Choir, choreographing dances and performing solos, and has performed at school performances, local venues, and singing festivals such as "All County." Recently, in January 2023, at a District Vocal Competition, she received a "Superior" award for her solos "Burn" from the hit musical "Hamilton" and "I Know Things Now" from "Into The Woods" and received an "Excellent" for both solos at the State Level in March 2023. At this, she received the award for "Most Improved Musician" in May 2023.
Additionally, she learned how to play the piano during quarantine and, even though she's a self-taught pianist, she's managed to learn many challenging songs. As for songwriting, she started when she was just 10 years old and has progressed over the years, leading her to compose and produce over 30 original songs. She has previously produced music on GarageBand, and has moved to Logic Pro X, where she records song covers and creates original music. She has even written a musical with original songs and an original soundtrack, which is still in production: Fly High! The Musical.
Instruments
Intermediate
During quarantine, Isabella had taken it upon herself to learn the piano by herself using Simply Piano and since then, she's progressed tremendously with the instrument. She's learned challenging pieces like "River Flows In You," "Kiss The Rain," and "Nuvole Bianche," can sight-read intermediately, and can improvise several new pieces, all while growing to love the instrument through her passion to learn. In May 2022, she performed a cover of the song "Isabella's Lullaby" from the popular anime series "The Promised Neverland" at her school's Spring music showcase and has also won the award of "Most Valuable Pianist" in her ensemble.
Apart from being self-taught in the piano, Isabella also has experience in the clarinet and ukulele and hopes to progress in those instruments as she learns more about them. She's been taught in the clarinet but is learning the ukulele by herself.
